Q: Who can participate in YMUN India?
A: YMUN India is open to students from all over the world who are enrolled in high school or its equivalent, within the age group of 13-17 years.
Q: Where will YMUN India be held?
A: For YMUN India 2024, all conference events will take place Shiv Nadar School Gurgaon.
Q: What is the format of the YMUN India 2024?
A: YMUN India follows the UNA-USA format.
Q: When will delegate registration close?
A: The priority registrations ends on 25th October 2023. Regular Registration deadline is set for the 25th December 2023.
Q: Can I register as an individual?
A: Yes, you can definitely register as an individual delegate.
Q: Is it mandatory for delegates to be accompanied by a guardian or advisor?
A: It its not mandatory.
Q: Who is an advisor?
A: An advisor in this particular instance refers to a guardian who will be accompanying a delegate or delegation. It is to be noted that having an advisor is not mandatory.
Q: When will the Assistant Director and Organizing Committee applications open?
Applications for Assistant Directors will open on August 20, 2023. Applications for the Organizing Committee open in September 2023.
Q: What is the dress code at YMUN India?
A: All delegates must dress in Western Business Attire (WBA) while at YMUN India. As a general rule, WBA requires that delegates dress in a suit jacket, slacks or skirts, dress shirt, and dress shoes. National Attire is also permitted.
Q: Will participants be awarded any certificates?
A: Absolutely! Every participant will be granted a Certificate of Participation, jointly issued by the Yale International Relations Association (YIRA) and Yale MUN India (YMUN India).
Q:Will participants be recognized and awarded at Yale MUN 2024?
A: Yes, participants will be recognized and awarded at YMUN 2024. Here's a breakdown of the awards:
For Individual Delegates in Committees:

Outstanding Delegate
Honorable Mention
Verbal Commendation
Best Position Paper
The number of awards in each category will vary based on the committee size.
For School Delegations:
Top Large Delegations (comprising 20 or more students)
Top Small Delegations (comprising fewer than 19 students)
Q: Does the delegate fee include accommodation and meals?
A: The fee shall include the following:
Training Webinars: Access to online training webinars, run by the Secretariat and the Directors, will equip delegates with information and material to excel at the conference.
Preparation Guide & Background Guides: Access to the general preparation guide and committee-specific background guides, authored by the committee Directors and the Secretariat, will help all delegates prepare better for the conference.
Social & Conference Events: Entry to all conference events, including leadership forums, social events, skill tracks and workshops.
Faculty Agenda: Engaging Faculty Advisor agenda comprising workshops, social and networking events, and historical and cultural explorations.
Meals & Snacks: Lunch and all-day refreshments throughout all conference days.
Accommodation: The YMUN India 2024 team will provide hotel recommendations, however, accommodation is not included in the course fees.
Q: What is the refund policy for YMUN India 2024
A: 1) 100% refund - If the participant formally informs the Yale MUN India team (via email - ymunindia.info@yira.org ) 1 month prior to the start date of the program.
2) 50% refund - If the participant formally informs the Yale MUN India team (via email - ymunindia.info@yira.org ) 15 days prior to the start date of the program.
3) No refund - If the participant formally informs the Yale MUN India team within 15 days (before the program starts) or during the program.
